The Austrian Deregulation Act 201721. March 2017
The Austrian Deregulation Act that will come into force in 2017 confirms the trend that electronic customer communication, which is simultaneously legally watertight and certified, is fast becoming the norm. The electronic mailbox, which CPB has already successfully set up for several banks and public authorities, unlocks the full potential of this increasingly strongly supported form of communication along with all the resulting advantages for companies and customers.
A recent article on the topic (translated from German): red, ORF.at. 20th March 2017:
Deregulation Act passes Constitutional Committee
For companies and citizens, the 2017 Deregulation Act will mean less bureaucracy, simplified administrative processes, and more electronic communication with public authorities. The act was passed by the Constitutional Committee within the Austrian National Council yesterday thanks to votes from the coalition partners, SPÖ and ÖVP.
According to the parliamentary correspondent, the legislative package will make it possible to use the Austrian citizen’s card or mobile signature to do various things, including founding a company. The amendment, which is set to change 25 existing laws, covers e-government, finance, commercial law, work, labour, transport and health.
